Vern Messer is a former member of the United States Army, retired, I might add. After retiring, he spent twenty years as a private contractor overseas. He is currently in the State of North Carolina.

Vern began his military career in 1967. His specialty was logistics; deployed to desert storm in 1992, beginning his private contracting career that same year. He retired from private contracting in 2012. During his time as a private contractor, Vern spent time in Kuwait, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Congo, Afghanistan, and Egypt.
